LPV Grand Design - 1998 Chestnut Gelding
(Saddleback Sirius x Niobrara Lady Trophy)

"Tony" is all Morgan! Solidly built and very athletic, LPV Grand Design is of old Morgan type. He is described by those who have trained and shown him as the smartest horse they have ever ridden.

"Tony" was born on the plains of Nebraska. He has done everything from rounding up cattle to holding the title of Reserve World Champion Parade Horse (2001) at the tender age of three. He has been a Regional Classic Pleasure Driving Champion, NYSMHS' High Point Western Pleasure Reserve Champion, and placed third in the highly competitive NYSMHS' High Point Hunter Pleasure division. He has even participated in the Memorial Day Parade.

LPV Grand Design gives new meaning to the word "smart." His pedigree is high quality up close. His sire, Saddleback Sirius, was a natural Park horse. His ancestry includes such greats as: Trophy, Pecos, Kingston, Mad River Sailor, Saddleback Supreme, and Saddleback Superstar. His gaits are exceptional. "Tony" is considered the "cadillac" in the barn when it comes to practicing equitation patterns and posting without stirrups. He can cantor in a "teacup." He is equally comfortable pulling a pleasure cart.

He is an easy keeper, and a fun loving boy who loves the outdoors, trail rides, and just hanging with the kids. For 2010, LPV Grand Design re-entered the show arena as a Junior Exhibitor Western Pleasure and Equitation horse. He earned multiple Championships and Reserve Championships. He is the 2010 NYSMHS' High Point Junior Exhibitor Western Pleasure Champion and the recipient of the NYSMHS' Seaway Admiral 'Willie' Award with his girl, Julia. He loves Julia about as much as he loves his carrots!
